GSF recently returned from another very successful mission in San Salvador, El Salvador. This was the 10th mission for our volunteers to El Salvador since 2006. The mission was generously sponsored by the Kiwanis Club Los Robles, Salvadorian NGOs, members of the Parliament, and other individuals.
GSF partnered with Hospital de Niños Benjamin Bloom, Kiwanis Club Los Robles, and local Salvadoran colleagues to provide the highest quality, multidisciplinary cleft care. GSF also worked with students from Colegio Los Robles and Escuela Americana.
GSF and the El Salvadoran team screened 51 patients and performed surgery on 25 patients. In addition, many speech therapy and psychosocial sessions occurred throughout the week. Mission page >>
